gold marketGold recorded an all time high today in after-market trading on the COMDEX reaching an unprecedented  $1,232.50 an ounce. Gold closed the day at $1232.40 up $28.70 on the day.

Silver closed at $19.35 up $.83 for the day.

Most experts point to the ongoing debt crisis in Europe as the main reason for the latest upsurge. Investors, as well as the average person, continue to be nervous about the prospects for a true economic recovery in the near future.
